My good friend and retailer Mr. Sock recently purchased an electronic article surveillance system. It is a Sensormatic system that uses ultramax tags to stop shoplifting. He uses the hard tags called supertags and the little sensormatics called stickers. He claims it has lowered his shrink. I told him to wait until the inventory in January before he starts boasting. It will probably work, but I just want it to be proved for me before I believe it. I'll tell you what happens at inventory time.
